Meet Our New Herdsire!
We are happy to welcome Casanova's Lightning Strike,  purchased in November '09 from Flying Pony Alpacas, LLC.

As you can see, Lightning Strike is a handsome male with beautiful rosegrey coloring. You can also see the tight crimp and density of his fleece below, a result of his pedigree. HIs sire is Snowmass Peruvian Casanova (a grey Bueno son). His dam is the light silver-grey Patagonia's La Danza out of the well-known Danko. What you can't see is his ideal personality - he knows he's king of the pasture, but he still gets along well with the other males and is easy to handle. If your breeding program is looking for a gorgeous rosegrey with a great personality, then allow Lightning to strike your herd!

Exit Zero (E-Z for short) and Domingo are gelded boys who both have lovely, award-winning fleece (though in this picture it has just been sheared off!). E-Z is more timid than Domingo, who has even been described as "nosey!" Both love their carrots, and will run out to greet visitors who they believe might have some!

Reinhart came to us all the way from Magical Farms in Ohio. Getting hosed off in the summer is a special treat he enjoys at our small farm!

Oliver is one of our more "spirited" alpacas. He LOVES to eat, and he's always on the lookout for visitors with carrots! But look out, because he'll spit when he gets annoyed! (Most of our alpacas are not prone to spitting!)

Marcel Marceau and Sebastian were born in the fall of 2007, about a week apart. Marcel was (and still is) very skittish, but Sebastian was (and still is) exceptionally laid back and will even allow himself to be pet and have his neck scratched.

General Patton (born on Memorial Day 2009) is quite a character! He's the most affectionate of our alpacas - he loves attention, especially chin scratches and kisses! He's too young to be gelded, but will be eventually.
